Ring ring!

I had just settled down in front of my computer for some much needed Mommy Play Time (ie, Farm Frenzy the Game) when my cell phone rang.  "Valerie, this is the junior high.  Please tell me you don't have a job today!"  When I confirmed that I didn't, she said that an 8th grade history teacher had a last minute afternoon sub job, and they hoped I could take it.  Sure!  So here I am, waiting for lunch to end, so I can teach history.  I love teaching history!  And if the class works hard, we'll play a game the last 7 minutes of class.  An added bonus? My cousin is subbing down the hall.  She stopped by, and we had a nice chat.

When did Thursdays become so busy?  Oh yeah...when we added ball back into the mix! Tonight, Matt has piano at 4:30; Mikey at 5:00.  Emily has softball from 5-7:30.  Mikey has baseball from 6-7:15.  Mikey has dance from 7:45-8:30.  Trust me when I say that I don't mind at all.  I love how much my kiddoes love playing ball, and I will absolutely encourage that in them.  Darren and I usually have date night on Thursday nights. I'm definitely looking forward to my Buffalo Wild Wings tonight!

Tomorrow starts the weekend, but first, I'm teaching SPED at the middle school.  I love that class! Frankly, there are few classes I don't absolutely enjoy. But that class is special.  The teacher is one who has taken me under her wings and really fostered my love of teaching.  It helps that she was a good friend of Mom's, too   Her para is amazing, and the whole education team she has basically claims me as their team sub.  How fun is that?

This weekend, though, is so busy.  Matt has Boy Scout Camporee this weekend.  We had hoped Mikey could go, but his schedule is just insane.  Saturday is Mikey's pitching lessons, then practice Saturday night.  Emily has practice and cage time Saturday.  Sunday we have church.  I have a renewed vigor toward church right now, and until Darren and I find a comfortable small group fit, we've decided to do a family Bible study on experiencing the love God has for us in life.  I can't wait to get started!

The bell rings in a minute.  I better put on my teacher face!  Stay tuned...later today I will have a post about a REALLY funny movie coming out soon.
