Catching my breath
Do you want to hear something great? It's been a FANTABULOUS week! I love weeks like this.
On Monday and Tuesday, I worked with a child whom I just adore. He's a great kid, with impeccable manners, and as smart as they come. I truly enjoy spending time with him.
Yesterday, I subbed in a classroom that I have worked with a lot. In fact, the teacher always just says, "You know the drill." Those are my lesson plans! The kids in there are great, and we really have a good time learning together. They know I'm deficient in math, and so they help me explain it, until I can also understand it.
Today, half day. I worked in comm arts. Again, a teacher I've subbed for before. She said, "You're creative, I know you'll have a good way to teach it." So we had fun learning how to write formal letters! AND we did constructive criticism! Good times, IMHO, and I can't wait to implement some of this into my own classes someday. This gal is one of my mentors as I work on my program.
Health wise, it's been a rough week. My tooth, the one with the new crown, has absolutely been aching. I got into the dentist today, and apparently, the root under the new crown is abscessing. So, massive MASSIVE antibiotics, vicodin, and here I am. Hopefully, my blood sugar won't be affected, and I'll be okay for my cruise.
Other news...Emily and I got our glasses from Zenni Optical. Remember when I did a post on them several months ago? Well, we finally got our glasses prescriptions together, and ordered them. I have to say, quick, and WELL WORTH IT! I love our new look. What do you think?

One more thing before I go. NaNoWriMo is going great! I'm over 30,000 words WOOT! I just may make it this year!
Good night and God bless.
