I've just had a lot going on lately
I've been doing so much private journaling lately, that I haven't had a lot of time to do much else.
Work is going GREAT. I've worked nearly every day the last 3 weeks. I'm off today because I had a headache yesterday that seems to have spread into my lower back. Nothing popped up in the sub system that piqued my interest, so I figure God was saying, "It's time to rest." So...Em's already at school, the boys will be there in an hour, and Darren's in Houston. I'm going to fix a pot of tea, grab a book, and read in bed this morning. Darren will come home around 2:30 and I'll get out of bed then. It's a cool, wonderful fall morning; I can't think of anything I'd rather be doing today!
Last week was rough. I mean, really, truly an emotional hell. Dad called me last week to tell me Grandma wasn't well. So, the call came Tuesday that she had passed away; I wasn't terribly surprised. The funeral was Friday, and I feel like an emotional beast, because I wasn't able to go. Yes, guilt is a useless emotion, but I can't help feeling little sad that couldn't be there. I would love to see my relatives.
Wednesday brought even worse news, as my friend and sorority sister, Angie, lost her battle with inflammatory breast cancer. This woman fought SO HARD with such strength and humor. I request prayers for her precious husband, Colin, and their family. Life is going to be emptier without Angie.
Saturday, Matt performed with our church's Praise in Motion ministry. Lynda Randall's women's conference was at our church. She asked our kids to dance to a song from her upcoming album, "Just Passing Through." They were AMAZING! I was so stinkin' proud of them that I was sitting there with tears just streaming down my face. Just before they went onstage, Lynda's husband, Michael, reminded the kids that they were dancing for God. You could see their pure innocence and joy in God as they danced! Here's a picture of them; I hope to have a video sometime.

Later today, I hope to bring you a book review. I've been very honored to read one of Susan Meissner's novels, and post it to my blog! I hope you enjoy my review, as much as I enjoyed the book.
God bless.
