Fall is SO in the air

I love fall. I love dragging out my jeans and sweaters, wearing warm socks on my feet. The scent of fruit ripening deliciously on the trees, and walnuts falling. Watching the wildlife scurry through our backyard, ready to stock up on their winter needs (did I mention we had a fox saunter through our backyard the other day? He was SO COOL!). The beauty of hearty mums. I love football bonfires. Hot chocolate at football games. The cheers at the high school games. My nephew plays football for my high school alma mater, and we go to as many games as we can possibly attend. Next week, he'll be playing at the high school one town over, and we are already making plans to head over there!

It's time to pull out my tea and rev up my Steamboat Willie Mickey Mouse teapot. I love the sound of the train whistle when my water's ready. My friend Vicki has sent me a CD of afternoon tea songs, and I've loaded it to my MP3 player, so I can sit on my porch, read a book, and sip.

It is nippy this morning. It's 48* with a cool breeze. I need to grab a jacket to take the boys to school.

This is perfect camping weather. I want to find a resort to head out to and camp. Yes, it's too chilly for the kids to go swimming, but wouldn't it be fun to have a hayride? Play? Grill salmon over a fire?

Enjoy your season! There is just so much beauty in God's creation!
