It's Saturday

So it's Saturday. Another big week has gone by. There have been so many things this week.

We've spent time at Oceans of Fun again. It was a good time. We went with my friend, Donna, and her girls. All went well, and we were ready to leave at 2:00.  Donna and I were in the wave pool sunning at 1:30, and the older girls came up and asked if they could take one more ride on the family sized raft water slide. I asked them to take the boys, and Donna reminded them to come back right after, as the line was long, and we wanted to leave around 2:00. Instead, after they went down the slide, they decided to go to another part of the park and go down the water slides over there. Donna and her youngest daughter and I looked for them for over 2 hours. We all got completely sunburned because we had already packed away the sunscreen. We finally found them, and they could not believe they were in trouble. Emily has had an attitude since then, and it's becoming pretty unbearable being around her.

An old college friend got in touch with me through Facebook this week!  That was a wonderful, exciting moment. She still lives up north, and we're going out to lunch Monday. I can't wait to see her!

Matt's doing really well with the braces. No problems so far!  I think he's glad he has them

The kids are dancing in Dance for the Cure today. All proceeds go to Susan G. Kommen breast cancer fund. It's a great fundraiser we do every year at the studio. I feel a little off this year, because I'm not dancing in it, but both the boys and Emily are. Donna and I are selling tee shirts, though, so that should be fun.

Although we had to financially cancel our trip to see Pattie et al, it does appear that they will be coming our way in a couple of weeks. Darren asked me to plan a barbecue for August 8. That should be fun!

I could use some thoughts and prayers. For one, I'm pretty sick lately. I've been coughing a lot, and feeling nauseated. Last night was terrible. I was up for 4 hours in pain from the nausea.  My blood sugars are out of control right now. I may head into the ER after DFC tonight, to get a saline IV.  Also, I'm on the job hunt again. Apparently, I won't be subbing in Liberty again this year, and there doesn't appear to be any paraprofessional openings. So, I'm kind of stuck.
