She's doing it!
Emily's at the teen event for 30 Hour Famine. There was no school due today because of the weather, so she wasn't nearly as challenged this year as she was last year.
She woke up and fixed herself toast and scrambled eggs. She finished eating at 7:55. Since then, she's been drinking a lot of water, especially the vitamin water, and keeping herself busy. We had lunch around noon, and she went upstairs and read a book, so she wouldn't be distracted.
We took her to church at 7:00, and you could tell the kids were starting to get miserable. The adult sponsors have games, activities, and a service project for the morning. I've been asked to come at 1:15 to prepare the sandwiches for after communion.
She has her phone, and will call me if she needs anything. I think she's going to be fine. But if you think about it, please pray!
