Emily is doing the 30 Hour Famine
Anybody who knows my Emily knows that she has a compassionate heart. At age 6, she decided she wanted to be a missionary. In November, at age 12, she went on a mission trip to Mexico, and that just solidified it in her heart, that she wanted missions to be a major part of her life. Last February, she did a fast for 30 Hour Famine. This year, she's doing it again. On Friday, February 23, at 8:00 AM central, she will stop eating. She will not eat again until 2:00 PM Saturday, February 24. This fast has a profound effect on these youth, and they end up with a heart for the people who go longer without food. They will learn facts, play games, challenge themselves, and watch informational movies on the people they are fundraising for. Please click hereto find out more information about this mission.

This year, she will stay with the group from tomorrow night through the end of the fast at 2:00 pm Saturday. Last year, there was a Girl Scout event in the middle of the fast, and she had to go to a mall, where there was food being served at Girl Scout booths. It was a struggle, but she did well.Hubby is on the way to ...
