Hannah Montana

If you have a teenaged or preteen daughter, I'm sure you've heard all of the hullabaloo about how difficult it's been to get tickets to see the Miley Cyrus/Hanah Montana concerts. We're in Kansas City, and the tickets were as good as sold out as soon as they went up for sale.

This resulted in a very sad 12 year old daughter in our household.

Luckily she understood, but honestly, I like this show, too, and I would have loved to have seen the concert. The daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana is a clean cut, funny and cute kid!  Plus, she can belt out a song like nobody's business!  Out of curiosity, I looked at other venues to see if there was a chance to hit another concert in another town. I noticed that there was a concert at the Houston Rodeo and Livestock Show. That was doable!  I checked different ticket outlets, and found that Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana Houston Rodeo tickets were available at one source!

Common sense grabbed ahold, though, and I decided not to spoil her THIS much. We did just get back from a mission trip to Mexico, after all!

Do you remember last month when I discussed the hullaballoo about the difficulty in getting Hannah Montanatickets, and the lengths I was considering going through to get them? You aren't going to believe what happened today! My business phone rang. I answered and it was Emily's middle school secretary, "Hi, it's Marla! Morgan's mom is here and would like to talk to you. Is that okay?" Well, I love this family, couldn't figure out why on earth she would want to talk to me. Probably about dance tonight? Morgan and Emily are in dance and Girl Scouts ...
