Uptown Saturday Night in St. Augustine, Florida

Living in an old Victorian home in an historic district, I am obviously a lover of antiques, history and unusual findings. I have found all of those wrapped into one central monthly event in St. Augustine, Florida, known as Uptown Saturday Night.

Uptown Saturday Night is an event held on the last Saturday night of every month, from 5:00-9:00 PM, in the Uptown San Marco shopping district in St. Augustine, Florida. The event primarily takes place between Ripley's Museum and Mission of Nombre de Dios.  The shops stay open late, and you are treated to book signings, artist meet and greets, great food, live music, and a carnival-like atmosphere. Participating shops offer wine tasting and refreshments.

This eclectic shopping district offers a number of antique shops, many which feature workshops on antiquing, or an opportunity to find that unusual "something special." Bookstores showcase book readings, book signings, and rare books to finish off your collection.  Specialty shops offer a chance to discover your own authentic Spanish treasure.

This is a delightful event, occurring monthly, on the last Saturday of the month.  There is no admission, and free parking is offered by the Mission of Nombre de Dios.   The October event occurred this past Saturday, October 27. The next event is November 24.  For more information, please visit Events in St. Augustine.
