She's MARRIED!
This weekend was a blessing beyond measure. My dear friend Roma finally achieved something she's wanted for as long as I've known her. She is now a MRS! Her husband is precious, and he's going to fit right in with our little posse. I've never seen my friend so beautiful, so serene, and so happy. Thank you for letting us be a part of this event!
While there, I got to spend precious time with people I love dearly; Roma, Pattie and Katie. I lucked into getting the hotel room right next door to Pattie! We giggled, drank a little wine, laughed, cried, and celebrated. We looked darned good, too, I might add!

The wedding was the highlight, of course. We ate, laughed, enjoyed each other. We made pretty Roma (Ms. Pattie on hair and me on makeup). I was amazed at Roma's calmness. Her niece is the same age as my Emily, and the two of them chattered like little mice, admiring the young groomsman. When Roma tossed the bouquet, Emily caught it. She waltzed up to her Daddy and said, "Better start saving your pennies!"

The next morning, Pattie and I went to church together, at her old church. It was a NEAT service, and we really enjoyed it. Imagine my surprise when I opened the bulletin, and found a prayer request for a friend of mine, Angie, who lives in Houston!
It really was just a good trip. I think Darren and the boys did well, too. I'm so glad we made the trip, so glad we got to celebrate Miss Roma becoming a Mrs. It's something we'll never forget!
