Took a break

I blew off a few days of blogging. I was in one of those crazy states of mind where everything I was writing hadn't been prayed over, and so wasn't coming out right. I'm over it. Ha!

To those who are following my saga this week, thank you so much for your prayers. They are working! I have found grace, love, acceptance, and even humor where before, I had found anger and resentment. Even the things that would have pissed me off two days ago are now making me just shrug my shoulders and move forward.

Dad took the boys to get bows and arrows this weekend. We're not talking plastic toys. We're talking the real thing! Matt's is actually one that can be used for hunting at some point. He's teaching them about bow safety, then looking for a place to take them to shoot. He bought Matt a target for his birthday.

Darren has been out of town this week. BIG TIME trip. Like, flew to Memphis, then South Carolina (I don't get this one, I think it was a stopover but I don't know for sure), then Pittsburgh, where he saw a Penguins game, then a stopover in Chicago before flying here. But the stopover in Chicago is turning into an overnight because they can't get his plane here. :::::::::sigh::::::::::: I miss my hubby when he's out of town.

And, I've lost another 4 lbs at Weight Watchers!  WOOT! I am 4 lbs from being to the point where I have promised myself a tattoo. I received my "additional 5 lbs" star today! Theoretically, I could be at my tattoo weight next week. Realistically, it won't happen. Tomorrow, I go to my diabetic doctor. You know, the one who has completely bullied me into getting healthy. I am so glad she did, because I love the way I feel.  I can't believe how good I feel. The boys and I, along with Daisy, and my dad's lab Bear, walked to school Tuesday! I didn't even get winded!  I didn't need a break. I was amazed by the time I got home. I walked again today, before dance. I danced like a wild woman. Where did this energy come from?

I got a compliment on my little Matt. Okay, let me just say, this kid has always been the sweetest hearted little boy in the world. Tonight, one girl who's always been in his class, and is absolutely sweet and beautiful, said, "Matt is so sweet!  He's always so nice to me. He sits by me on the bus." That is so nice to hear!

Emily's conference was tonight. OH MY GOSH is it a different conference from last year! She is making As and Bs, not C, D and F like last year. Her teachers rave about her. She said, "I've been working hard, turning in everything, and I'm just motivated." I said, "How's that working for you?" She smiled and said, "It's GREAT!"  In one of her conferences, Mary Margaret Oberkrom came in to drop off something. She went to high school with my Mom. She told Emily's teacher, "When I see Emily coming down the hall, she reminds me of her Grandma, kind of just..." and her teacher said, "Sashaying? Emily sashays!"  LOL  I cracked up!  Em's on a great team this year. I really like her teachers. She seems to have her head screwed on straight. It's about time!

Well, I need to go finish around the house. Maybe do another load of laundry. I need to wake up EARLY, go to Curves for my weigh in and measure day, then go to my doctor appointment. PRAY FOR ME!!!
