I just wanted to mention...
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. You will see lots of pink, and you will see lots of fundraising.
I lost my beloved Mama to breast cancer in February 1999. Breast cancer affects families, children, husbands, sisters, daughters, friends, everyone. It's hard to watch somebody you love so much, suffer so much.
Not a day goes by that I don't worry about breast cancer. I am dilligent about checking for lumps. I have had 2 mammograms. "BOOBIES" isn't a giggly word anymore.
So please be aware of breast cancer this month. I would like to share the blogs of some people I have come to admire because of how they have dealt with this.Dana, of Think Pink is awesome. She has beaten odds and has come through it as a REAL woman, who can make me laugh at the drop of a hat. Please check out her blog. Debbie'sblog moves me, makes me laugh and cry. I'm not sure how I stumbled upon Debbie, but I'm so glad I did!
And please check yourselves, or remind your sisters and wives to do the same. I have set a recurring monthly reminder in my Outlook calendar, so I never forget.

I have a new memory stick for the computer and was looking for a PINK breast cancer awareness lanyard for it today but the store I expected to get it from I couldn't see them. Maybe I'll have to settle for a different one.
