I recently came across Supertravel, a UK based online travel company specializing in luxury ski, golf and island vacations. This personalized agency offers standard travel tools such as flight checking, hotel information, car rental, weather reports, and more. This site takes it a step further, though, dividing the vacations into specific travel categories, and providing information unique to that type of holiday. 

I have always wanted to learn how to ski, or at least relax by the fireside in a ski lodge, with a hot toddy at hand!  Supertravel has offered me the opportunity to plan enjoy my own personal luxury skiing holidays in prime European spots, such as Courchevel, France, Meribel, France and St. Anton, Austria. Thanks to partnerships between these fine resorts and Supertravel, I will give you a taste of the week-long virtual holiday I have planned.

Days 1-2: Courcheval, France

Arriving at the Hotel Trois Vallees, we are greeted by our host, who has a handsome spread of fine wine and cheeses.  After a quick snack, we head upstairs to our room, where we are greeted with beautiful carved wood furniture, thick quilts, and a cozy bed. Noticing the spa information, I book a massage while Darren decides to take a ski lesson. After our return, I am relaxed and he is hungry, so we head to one of the fine restaurants.  After sharing a glass of wine by the fireside, we head upstairs, where we enjoy a programme on our in-room plasma TV before preparing for our next day’s adventures. Life is good!

Days 3-4 Meribel, France

Switching gears a bit, we decide to investigate luxury ski chalets in Meribel. We head to Chalet Cardamines. Nestled at the top of a hill, this chalet offers both a rustic charm and convenient locale to nightlife favorites. We kick back on the cozy wooden furniture, where we enjoy a glass of champagne, canapés, and good conversation by the real log fire. We head to our room, where we slip into the cozy bathrobe and slippers provided for us. Entering the luxurious bath, we find the accoutrements for a cozy bubble bath. Heading back downstairs, we find divine culinary treasures to delight our taste buds. We decide to stay in, enjoying a delicious feast of fine foods and wine. We are truly spoiled here!

Days 5-6  St. Anton

Almost reluctantly, we leave our feast behind and head to Austria, to visit Chalet Rosanna in St. Anton. Immediately, we are surrounded by fine powdery mountains and a charming village. Immediately, we are struck by the simple beauty and family charm of the chalet. My whole family feels welcome, and the children delight in the chalet as much as Darren and I do! Enjoying fine home cooked meals, and a fun welcome reception, we immediately meet fun couples to hang around with, as the children run off to play in the snow. After a day of skiing and hiking, we head back to the chalet for a dinner in the dining room, with a warm fire roaring in the corner fireplace. We end the evening in our bedroom, where we enjoy music from our iPod on the quality Bose system, as we sip hot tea on our balcony.
