Returned to normal

We spent Labor Day Weekend here:Basswood Resort. In the CAMPER!  It was our first camper trip this year so we had some cleaning to do. No problem! We were all excited to go!

We had a blast there was a wonderful wine tasting even Saturday, where I met two really nice people, Terry and Prairie. We exchanged emails and plan to hook up again in October. We met our pad neighbors; his cousin in law was Emily's vice principal last year! The kids played all day in the pool and the various parks, and met lots of new friends. There were lots of family activities: fishing, arts and crafts, hayrides, bike rodeo...it was just a really good time! Even Daisy had a wonderful time!  She got a pork chop bone from a neighbor on the first night, and he became her INSTANT best friend. She was so excited whenever he walked by! She was a good girl, too, rarely barking. She just enjoyed the whole lounging around, hanging out in the lakes, etc. THIS is the kind of camping I envisioned. I can't wait to go back.

We made our first payment for our mission trip today. I can't believe it! I am not really good about asking for money, so I'm probably going to pay for the whole thing out of my pocket. Can you pray for me on that? I know that I'm denying others the blessings of giving to missions. It's.just.hard.for.me.

It was totally cub scout night tonight!  I had Mikey's Wolf Scouts. Our den leader is wonderful, and always refers to me as the co leader (I always say I'm the assistant). We talked about health and how to take care of yourself. Mikey is always so serious when it comes to Cub Scouts. It's kind of cute.  Darren's den had WEBELOS tonight. I bought Matt his shirt. It's an adult shirt. I cried. He looks like a little man in it! They worked on leather works, and on non verbal communications. Apparently, Matt made everyone laugh when he said, "Mom uses non verbal communication every morning. I can always tell by the look on her face, that I picked out the wrong outfit to wear." He's so cute!

Here's the big shocker. I turned in a resume at my alma mater. I want a job there so bad! The one I applied for sounds perfect. So, if you wouldn't mind praying on that, I'd sure appreciate it. God knows my heart. I've bled it out to him many times on this subject. He knows that working at the college would be the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. I'm positive he is going to put me to work on that campus at some point. I just need to be patient and wait for the right time.

I guess summer is unofficially over now! You wouldn't know it by the weather, though. It is H>O>T!!  I hear it's going to cool down this weekend. I hope so. I'm ready for my favorite season.

I bid you adieu!

Stine,  early in my blog here, I excerpted. I got lots of complaints, so I no longer do that. I'll go through my old posts and make sure that I don't have them on excerpts.  Thanks for letting me know!
